Why was adolf hitler allowed to get that power..? did the germans not see it coming??

I did this in history for a few years..brbrThe country was suffering from the weak goverment Weimar republic because of the treaty of versailles. Hitler was the only person to provide an option for the germans to get their countries pride back.
